House and Home/ Downhaul/ Sinkin/Moment to Capitalize at the Fire.

I’m going to keep this brief since I’m not sure anyone really reads this part of my posts. Friday I had the chance to photograph a band I shot back in December called house and home. They were joined by some pretty rad bands including one from California. The show took place at the Fire in philly.

Here are the shots in order of band perfomances.

Cant Swim/Homesafe/Save Face/Small Talks/Goalkeeper

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot one of the most killer shows ive seen in a long time. I am proud to say most of the talent in this show came from my home state of New Jersey. Its needless to say I am super proud about what is turning out of this state and this area. Here’s the photos from the show at Voltage Lounge in Philly.

Goalkeeper

(A catchy pop-punk band from NJ whos drummer is the most entertaining person Ive come across in a long time.)

Small Talks

Save Face

Homesafe

In Good Nature/Real Talk

Friday night I had the chance to see In Good Nature playing their first Philly show. They were joined on this mini-tour with their label mates Pop punk band Real Talk. Real talk puts on a good set and I’d jump at the chance to see them play a space larger than a closet size basement. Now for anyone who has never heard of In Good Nature, They are a post-hardcore band from Mass who bring the energy. I had my first chance to shoot these guys a year ago in New Jersey and they are still one of my favorite photos to date. These guys put on a sick set with a mixture of “oooohs”and breakdowns and poppy beats. If they are swinging through your area I highly recommend getting out to their show. This time as I had the challenge of shooting them in a closet size basement with bare minimum lighting(Christmas lights hung from the rafters). I am so incredibly happy with the outcome of these shots. Here are both bands shots.

Harm

Monday night I had the pleasure of photographing a post-hardcore band from North Carolina called Harm. Let me start out by saying any band that brings their own lighting to a basement show is a win in my book. They energy is so amazing and they are straight up killer. The passion they put in their performance is top of the top. Just so happens they are friends with one of my favorite bands to photograph EMPTY which makes this a bit more special. Even with missing members of their band they still managed to bring the energy. On top of everything they are such amazingly nice people. Please take time out of your day to check out this killer band.

Here are the shots from monday of HARM.

The Tip and Liza Colby Sound

The first concert I had the chance to photograph this year was back in January. It happened to be these bands The Tip(From Nashville) and Liza Colby Sound(From NYC). These bands are as rock and roll as they come. They are full of emotion and are their performances in January gave me so much life and want to create and capture more moments. They gave fuel the fire in my art. I had bought a new camera for that show and was disappointed  in the outcome of the photos due to low light situations at the venue.

Of course I jumped a the chance for redemption and to see these amazing bands again and I am so happy with the outcome of these photos.

here are some of the shots from that show.
